What’s best for me.
This group has been super helpful to me in the last 3wks so many thanks to you all.
Early April I was diagnosed with stage zero DCIS & have been on the path of decisions since. Diagnosing surgeon felt a mx was best treatment. I have become comfortable with this option. I got a second opinion from a very encouraging dr good vibes. We’re doing more testing since she saw calcifications on my other breast but she feels lumpectomy is the current way to go.
But this isn’t what I’m interested in. I’m hoping for a “once &done” dmx, no radiation, no poking & prodding. But I’m afraid dr sunshine won’t get on board or will code it where insurance won’t cover it.
I am also meeting with another doctor who I was referred to by my diagnosing dr for reconstruction.
Am I spiraling? Overthinking? Need to be more patient? Do I need to speak up/reiterate?
Hoping someone who’s been where I am can understand & share insight.
