I forgot not to overdo it

Yesterday, on a day when I was feeling relatively well, I visited a public gym and overdid it. Since I’ve been working out since 1989 and that’s just how I’m wired, I have a hard time remembering that I should only do a couple of reps and then stop. Today, my muscle pain is getting worse by the hour, my skin is itchy like after a sunburn, and I’m having palpitations. I’ve already taken tramadol and aspirin. How should I recover from an event like this?

Has anybody had eye issues with long-term amitriptyline therapy?

Currently, it’s the only antidepressant that seems to work for me, for I mainly suffer from pain and sleep issues. Since amitriptyline can cause glaucoma, although my doctor says I’m not predisposed to it, I would like to talk with anybody who has had eye troubles induced by amitriptyline.

Not passion is needed, but compassion, that is, the capacity to extract from another the primary root of his suffering and make it one’s own without hesitation

That’s what Dostoevsky maintained, and only a Christian could conceive such a precious statement. Read instead the cruelties Nietzsche was capable of writing, and draw conclusions about what truly drives human virtue.
