Character Names
Hello all, hoping you might have some suggestions on names for some characters in my book, since I'm several chapters in and really happy with how this is coming together...but I just can't seem to lock into the right names and need some external advice. The setting is the present day.
First, I am looking for something that's like "Linus," which I feel is the right vibe, but it doesn't have a good nickname--"Li" just isn't sitting right. Any suggestions for a name that kind of conveys that same nerdy, gentle vibe with a better nickname? (Or if you have a better nickname suggestion for Linus, I'll take it!)
Second, I am looking for a name similar to "Hannah" that also nicknames as nicely as Hannah does (Han, Hannie--Hanners if you're British). But Hannah's my best friend's name so that's too odd to use; I also have crossed off Elizabeth and Christine because those are family names, too.
