I composed an hour of music for the LOTR PS1 game that never existed. Started with the Shire.

So I've had this idea stuck in my head for years.

What if someone actually made a Lord of the Rings RPG for PS1? Not the movie tie-in stuff — I mean a proper dark fantasy RPG. The kind of game that would've sat next to Final Fantasy VII and Castlevania on the shelf at Blockbuster in 1998.

Nobody made it. So I started making the soundtrack for it anyway.

I've been building the environments in Blender — low-poly scenes that look like they were ripped straight from a PS1 memory card. Pixelated textures, flat lighting, that weird wobbly geometry PS1 games had. It takes forever but when it comes together it genuinely looks like a screenshot from a game you half-remember playing as a kid.

The music is all original. Flute, strings, birds, crickets at dusk. I wanted it to feel like that specific late afternoon feeling — sitting in the Shire knowing the adventure hasn't started yet. Peaceful but with something underneath it. Like the last quiet moment before everything changes.

First track is The Shire at Dusk. One hour.

If this hits I'll keep going — Rivendell, Moria, Rohan, all the way to Mordor. The full game nobody built.
