Finally I got this LCD Screen.

I had never seen this screen in person, only photos from the internet. I liked the screen more than I thought I would like...

The pixels are very crispy, and even the AV output behind has RGB output, being able to connect my GBS Control to have a 1080p image on my monitor.

My next plan is to put a usb-c adaptor with PD protocol on AC Adaptor, to use with modern chargers and also PowerBanks.

Digital gaming is becoming a luxury for the rich. PayStation is our open-source response.

Corporate suits are aggressively pushing a digital-only future, and we all know exactly why. When you don't own the physical media, you don't own the game. You are just renting a temporary license until a licensing contract expires and some megalomaniac board of directors decides to delete it from your library.

Look at what Sony just did by permanently wiping over 550 legally purchased StudioCanal movies straight out of PlayStation user accounts. No refunds. No downloads. Just hundreds of dollars of people's hard-earned money vanished into thin air because a contract expired. If a storefront uses the word "Buy," then losing access to that item is nothing short of corporate-sanctioned theft.

And let’s talk about the economic barrier. Killing physical discs doesn't just hurt collectors; it actively blocks poorer communities from experiencing gaming. When a console doesn't have a disc drive, you can't buy a used game for five bucks. You can't borrow a game from a friend. Low-income families and kids relying on local libraries for media access get completely priced out of the ecosystem. It's a predatory, anti-consumer lockout designed to force everyone into paying premium digital retail prices forever.

We’re done watching it happen.

My partner and I are building PayStation. The name is a literal middle finger to their digital pricing racket.

We are writing an emulator layer built from the ground up to be lean, optimized, and completely accessible. Our mission isn't profit. We aren't taking donations, we aren't locking features behind premium tiers, and there will be zero ads. We want this running on everything—from library computers to the smartphones in your pocket. If the industry is going to systematically lock people out of ownership, we are going to open the back door.

We don't have a specific ETA yet because we are working out of our IDEs and stacking clean commits on Git around our day jobs. But we officially guarantee PayStation drops before Sony completely executes physical discs for good.

They want an all-digital future where you own nothing and pay premium for the privilege. We're just two developers cooking in the terminal to make sure they don't get away with it.

Follow along if you want to watch us build it.

A friend might have found a rare prototype of FIFA 1996!

Hiya folks! Posting for a friend who got this game in a PS1/2 lot of games he bought yesterday. He asked me to post to see if anything knew what this was exactly.
Not sure if it’s a promo, prototype or maybe even a dev copy of the game? Anyone who knows anything please help us out!

NOT looking to sell this game. Just to share and get some info!

Practicing painting PSX shells.

Every once in a while i can find a for parts 5500 cheap, and I pick it up and practice painting it. I have a cricut i use for book binding mostly, so thats where i make the stencils. Yes, im aware its a little uneven at the top, im not a professional. But i still think it looks pretty sick. Put my picostation internals in it.

Anyone remember this slightly obscure one?

Hey! I'm Mae, 35 and still absolutely adore the PS1 console. I'm looking for people to discuss games and such, and maybe make some friends. Am I in the right place?
Does anyone remember this? It was one of my favourites back in the day and I'm currently replaying it.

I just want to play my PS1. Advice needed:

EDIT: Thanks for the advice everyone I'll have a look on Amazon for your suggestions and keep you posted! Thanks for your patience and taking the time to explain everything 🙏 🙂

Ok so this is the only wire I have for my PS1.

I Have an LG 2021 TV.

This wire obviously doesn't work on it.

My question is what wire do I need to play on my TV?

I don't want to buy 4 different wires and adapters to play. I just want a single wire that goes from my PS1 to my TV.

I don't care about it being 1080p 4k HD or whatever. I just want the picture to be clear, and playable.

So much info online giving me different opinions and i don't know much about this stuff.

Please provide links if possible to a cheap, single wire.

I just wanna play some ps1😅

Thanks for you help!

Searching for a lost game in my memories

I might ask about some English abbreviations; I speak Spanish and don't know much about them.

I remember a game that was similar to Diablo graphically, but it was a top-down (that's how I remember it) isometric view, not "sideways diagonally" like Diablo. I think is called top-down.

I remember playing it once or twice and then never again. To give more details, it was like an RPG, but very, very strange; it seemed unfinished. I remember the character entering a room, It was closing the door And if you didn't defeat all the enemies you couldn't get out (I never managed to get out)

All of that after starting the game, in the first or second room.

I also remember that the graphics looked pretty good but were quite strange.

If you know of anything similar, please let me know. I've searched for games, but none of them look quite like they do in my memories.

I used the translator, it might be annoying

Playing old ps1 games I haven't played in years

It's weird playing old ps1 games upscaled to 4k with a Xbox controller. On the one hand they bring back so much nostalgia on the other hand I'm glad they look a lot better upscaled 🤣

Any tips to make this look and play as good as possible since it's currently only using like next to no ram and 25% of my GPU and 15% of my CPU. Might as well use that overhead if I can?
