updates on my search for a rare line of ps1 era playstation clothing called “Playstation Threadz”

posting here because in the main playstation sub the only response was a troll (or maybe just an idiot) who made fun of me for looking for an old line of playstation clothing.

I did a bit of searching through the other items on the page, because I figured having a brand would help me find that ps1 navy/suede baseball cap I so desire. The 2 caps with tags that were readable were from HeadShot (by KCCaps) and ATT headwear. The others I could find had tags that were too worn down or didn’t have a brand name.

The first 3 hats are ones I could find that I could comfortably say were most likely the originals from the threadz website. They are in the order of photo from archived site, photo of the found hat, and the tag on said found hat.

The last 3 are ones that I haven’t found concrete evidence of, which sucks because 2 of them (the playstation logo hat and crash bandicoot) are ones I really want to find.

I’ve found a few denim caps with a similar brim and a few MLB branded hats nearly identical to the playstation hat on the Threadz website, but they unfortunately aren’t the same hat (because of the aforementioned MLB branding). I’m not convinced the denim ones are the same either, as examples of the hats we do know exist haven’t faded enough to match a denim-like color and honestly it just seems implausible that a hat by the same manufacturer would wear so differently to those other hats of the same age.

I get the feeling that these all sold very poorly when they were still available…

No evidence of the quarter-zip from the original ad has been found, not even on the archived website. No clue why.

link to the Wayback website: https://web.archive.org/web/20000229100235/http://store.playstation.com/threadz.html

If anyone remembers anything about this line of clothing or has any leads, please provide them. I’m no expert at searching for these kinds of things and I know there are many people out there who probably have knowledge that could help greatly. Thank you to anyone who helps in advance.

Just got gifted this by my grandpa, apparently it’s one of the first calculators he ever bought.

does anyone have photos or videos from the old Critter McCoon’s/Dimes n’ Critters restaurant?

apparently it burnt down in ‘84 as part of an insurance scam, and I can’t find any good quality photos or videos of the place before it burned. The animatronics were pretty low cost, but they have a hand-made charm to them. Does anyone have anything they can share, or possibly know someone who has more info on the place and its history?

turned the windows 3D maze screensaver into the backrooms

I did a lot of texture editing in paint.NET to get everything looking right. I even used textures from the high quality wallpaper scans, and initially used color grabs from the original carpet swatches that have occasionally shown up in photos. Unfortunately color theory sucks so none of the carpet colors actually worked and I just had to figure out the texture from scratch and add a noise filter to add a bit of texture. I think it turned out pretty well, even if it was a bit of a pain to get all the textures turned into .BMP files which are the only type the screensaver allows.

I’ve had long term troubles with change, especially with letting go of physical things.

I really just need to get all this off my chest. Strap in, cause this will take a while. As long as I can remember, I’ve had serious trouble letting go of personal items and letting change happen around me.

Part of it is just that I’m naturally deeply sentimental, I’ve always linked personal experiences and memories to objects which make them so much more than just “things”.

The one thing I can say for certain is the primary reason though is my younger cousin, or rather my parents and the aunt and uncle responsible for her. When I was young, about 4 or 5 to be specific, she was born. My parents took a whole bunch of my toys, clothes, and baby stuff without consulting me and gave it to them as a “gift” for the new baby. This made me never want to let anything slip out of my grasp like that again.

The final nail in the coffin though was the death of my great grandma. She had a big plush of a black lab that always sat in the corner of her room at the retirement home. Every time I visited I would play with it. When my great grandma died and her possessions were being sorted, I really wanted that dog because it embodied many of my memories of her and meant a ton to me. But guess who got it? My little cousin. I still remember it vividly. My aunt and uncle were leaving, and I begged them to let me have it. Literally trailing behind them as they headed out the door. They joked about me swapping places with my cousin, then they walked off like nothing happened. And then they moved away to the other side of the state and we hardly ever heard from them again.

I know they probably got rid of that stuffed dog like it was nothing when my little cousin grew up, it still makes my blood boil to this day.

I think that permanently damaged me mentally because I wouldn’t accept any change after that. There’s a photo of me crying when our kitchen chandelier got replaced, and I had to keep it in my room for 2 weeks before I could let go. I wouldn’t go into our media room for a month after my mom repainted it a different color. I got frustrated when my mom replaced the old rugs we had. Same with the old vacuum, steam cleaner, toaster, stove, couches, carpeting, curtains… you get the gist. I hated change of any kind.

For a long time I had trouble with getting rid of things even if they were mostly inconsequential. I have gotten a lot better at not collecting junk, but it’s still a struggle. I don’t ever want to become a hoarder though, and that has motivated me to stop collecting junk and seriously think about what something means to me before I decide to keep it.

I think that’s about all, sorry for going on so long. I already had to edit a ton out and leave some more tangential stuff out of this. This is just something I’ve been dealing with for so long that I just had to get it off my chest. And to think this all started after learning Pirate’s Booty rebranded their chip bags… ugh.

I hate my anxiety and panic attacks, they won’t stop :(

I’ve been dealing with severe anxiety over death and mortality for pretty much as long as I can remember. I started meds to help stop it and they worked for a while, but recently they have stopped working and now I’m just anxious and can’t feel properly sad anymore because of my meds (sertraline).

It sucks because I’m still on these meds that are limiting my emotions and they aren’t even doing their job. I still get severe panic attacks and hyperventilate when I get reminded of growing old and dying, and I can’t do anything about it. My brain is sabotaging itself and it fucking sucks. I can’t escape it, these dumbass emotions are ruining my life and I can’t do a single thing about it other than more meds or different meds which I don’t like because they dull my other emotions.

I just needed to vent about this, I don’t know what I’m going to do about this to manage these things… I just want the panic attacks to stop.

found my favorite species of moth while out moth spotting tonight!

this guy is Lophocampa Roseata, also known as the Rosy Aemilia moth. They’re native to the Pacific Northwest, and are extremely pretty in my opinion. I see their caterpillars a lot during the fall season, but this is actually my first time seeing one of the moths in person! He moved around a bit, hence why some photos are on the ground and some are by our porch light.

Lotsa good news!!!

(originally posted in Boykisser sub but I thought you guys would appreciate :3)

Alright, so I’ve been saving this bc I was on vacation, but now I can tell all you sillies!!!

First off, I came out as bi and a femboy to both my mom and my sister and they were both very accepting of it, my mom even got me a big ol’ bi pride flag to pin up in my room!

I also got da thigh highs and matching arm warmers in a few colors, and they’re very cute and comfy :3 I need to work more on my fits tho so they match with my femboy stuff.

and I took the next step in being a femboy, I finally shaved all my body hair! I had done my legs and torso already, but I was holding off on my arms until after I got the arm warmers. It was mainly bc arm hair is usually a lot more noticeable day to day than with legs and stuff, but I decided I don’t care if people judge me for being me :3 I also finally pulled the trigger and shaved off my lil mustache, it was pretty thin anyways and I was probably gonna do it regardless.

and lastly I did my nails in a pretty mint green color. I already had been doing my nails prior (my mom actually did it for me for years, I have photos from preschool where I have nail polish on!) but still, it looks rlly cute :3 I’m so happy rn aaaahhh!!!
