Battery Issues
2025 Cx30 with 1600 miles.
Battery went dead during the salesperson features demonstration. Salesperson tried to get service to replace it but they wouldn't.
I bought the vehicle in for service at 500 miles. I'm old school and like to get the breakin oil changed. There was a low battery warning in the log according to service tech. They said that I should bring it in for a test they needed to do for warranty replacement.
Several weeks ago by , I didn't do anything because it seemed to be fine.
In one week I have to bump the battery twice to start the car. I make an appointment with dealership.
They say they will need the car for 8 to 48 hours but can't be more specific.
I get message from the dealership that they tested the battery. There's nothing wrong with it. They also said I would have to pay for the test since there was nothing wrong with the battery.
I explained that is really not good enough. The car wouldn't start twice in a week. It seems to me that it is either a battery issue or a charging issue.
The service manager says maybe I left the lights on. This isn't a 1972 Galaxy 500. The lights automatically go off a few minutes after the engine is turned off.
He then said I don't drive it enough. Fact was that I drove it more the week that I had issues than normally. But also no one said I needed to drive x miles or hours a week.
I have a Norco charger for my motorcycle. I ask if they could put a Norco lead on the battery. He said that he couldn't as it would cause liability issues.
So is there anything I can do going forward with warrenty to get this addressed?
