Hi everyone,
I’m a London-based photographer. I graduated from a BA Photography degree last July and I’ve been working in music photography alongside that, building my portfolio through live shows over the past couple of years. I’ve shot a few bands and smaller gigs, and I’ve also been independently reaching out to secure photo passes for shows I want to cover, which has been quite difficult and inconsistent.
Because of that, I’m now looking more into the editorial side of music photography as a way to develop more consistent work and access.
I wanted to ask if anyone knows of any music publications, online magazines, or editorial platforms that are currently open to new photographers or contributors, or any that are particularly good for emerging photographers to pitch to.
I’d really appreciate any recommendations or insight into where people usually start with editorial work in music photography.
