RAN off-grid charging
Recently I saw an article for this off-grid L3 charging station that gets up to 350-kW of charge. Does anybody have any info on whether or not Rivian is pursing an equivalent concept?
Recently I started planning a trip for fall to go camping in Death Valley National Park. I realized the last stop for charging was in inyokern. It would be cool if Rivian adopted this idea and started placing smaller scale off grid charging stations in more remote areas closer to national parks. Something smaller with maybe 2-5MW’s of solar and maybe 5-10MW’s of battery storage would be great for supporting more adventuring. Since they already use batteries for their vehicles they already have a supplier and it should be easier to get installed because they wouldn’t have to wait for a grid connection.
