Hi, I’ve recently moved to the UK. I want to make my neighbours feel comfortable and have a good impression of me and my family moving in next door, especially because minorities are sometimes portrayed negatively.

What are some nice things people do when they move into a new neighbourhood?

I already sent some food over. When I greeted them afterwards, they seemed to be in a bit of a rush and didn’t seem like were interested in conversation so I didn’t introduce - just said hello how are you

I really like having friendly relationships with neighbours because it makes living somewhere feel safer, warmer.

Kinda bummed and getting a feeling they’re judging me from my outer appearance. Please let me know anything that might help, thanks 🙏
