PTHER 350/351/352 Workload Advice for Full-Time Working Student?

Hey everyone. I’m an Open Studies student at the UofA & planning to take:

  • Fall Term: PTHER 350 + PTHER 351
  • Winter Term: PTHER 352

I also work full-time and am balancing workload and scheduling as realistically as possible.

I was originally debating between:

  1. PTHER 350 + 351 in Fall, then 352 in Winter (my current plan) or
  2. PTHER 350 in Fall, then 351 + 352 in Winter

For those who’ve taken these courses, do you think I chose the better setup?

From what I understand:

  • PTHER 350 = anatomy-heavy/memorization
  • PTHER 351 = more movement analysis, biomechanics, gait, kinetics/kinematics
  • PTHER 352 = intro stats/research methods

My main concern is balancing difficulty with a full-time job, especially during Winter term when weather + commuting + work can get rough.

I’d also love insight into:

  • The overall workload of each course
  • Which course felt the hardest/time-consuming
  • Whether 351 and 352 together in Winter would’ve been manageable
  • How intense exams/labs/assignments were
  • Whether taking 350 & 351 together is realistically okay

TIA!
