Sellwood Starts - Free Plants - Final Drop of the Season May 15-17
UPDATE - SOLD OUT! In record time, by 3pm Friday the racks were clear. y'all grabbed 70+ plants in three hours. Thanks for turning out. I'll be working on a little writeup of my experience doing this next week, and hopefully back with fall starts in a few months.
There may be a little chill this weekend, but it's still about time for most Portlanders' tomatoes and peppers. I bet a lot of you already planted yours!
But if you haven't, or still want more, I've got good news! It's my final drop of the season, I've got about 20 tomato plants, 20 pepper plants, and 20+ basil plants to give away this weekend.
I'll be setting out the greenhouse in Sellwood on 21st Ave, between Rex and Knapp. It will go out at Noon each day (Fri/Sat/Sun) until the plants are all gone.
Everything grown here in my basement, all organic growing conditions. This is just everything I have left for the season, so I will do my best to label but there may be some mysteries.
Try to limit yourself to 2 free plants, but Venmo donations will be accepted if you want to grab more (or just want to support the cause).
So far this year I've given out just over 200 plants!
