Hello all. I have been having a crisis on if I want to add a RG to my stable, but recently don’t think I would benefit from a touring bike. I have completed an 800 mile and 1100 mile trip this year on my FXLRS and on both trips I have talked myself out of a bigger bike. For context I am 6’3 230lbs. This is my current setup, and on long trips i have a bag I attach to the sissy bar not pictured.

Other than storage and creature comforts is a RG REALLY worth upgrading to when i am comfortable long hauling on my lowrider?

I’ve ridden both a new SG and RG, and neither impressed me. But I haven’t taken them on a long ride.
