Would a Belarusian Medical School Realistically Accept an American Applicant Right Now?

I’m American, born and raised in New York. My father is from Belarus, so I grew up in an émigré household speaking Russian fluently at home. My Russian probably gets even better when I’m actively using it, but I’d consider myself basically native-level in both Russian and English. Anyway, I’m applying to medical school in Belarus, even though a lot of people have advised against it for obvious reasons. My question is less about whether it’s a good idea politically or practically, and more about whether they would realistically even accept an American applicant at this point. I already submitted the application, and they accepted it for review, but I’m genuinely curious how feasible actual acceptance is right now for someone with a U.S. passport. I wouldn’t even take it personally if the answer is basically “unlikely,” given the current climate. Just wondering if anyone has firsthand knowledge or experience with this situation.
