Doctor thinks my GP was temporary after 11 year diagnosis
I'm 26 and I was diagnosed with GP in 2015, after having severe constipation + abdominal pain. I had gotten chemo in 2011, and my gallbladder removed in 2013 (which usually causes severe diarrhea). I did a repeat in 2017. 9 years ago. Can't take many of the current meds for it because of other things in my medical history. It was considered idiopathic.
As I got older my symptoms changed, I'm constantly nauseous, I lost a lot of weight, I'm full super fast, and have severe bloating and pain. I take 16mg zofran every day and it barely does anything. I saw a doctor recently, and he is telling me that he thinks my gastroparesis was temporary and it's gone now. He never said what else could be causing my symptoms though. However, I will be doing a 4 hour GES, so we will see.
But has this actually happened to anyone here (gp turned out to be temporary)? If so what did you end up doing when the results came back normal + you still had symptoms. Just looking for other people's experiences with something like this cause I feel weird.
