Sleep Doses and Movement Disorders
Is 12.5mg - 25mg Quetiapine used 2-3 times per week able to cause a movement disorder?
Considering the dose and its low affinity for d2 (at said dose), as well as the intermittent use (any d2 activity spending a bunch of time at baseline) I would assume that it is next to no risk (but not no risk).
I feel that the irreversible nature of TD makes ANY risk unacceptable. Which is iling me, as quetiapine has been a life changer for me after 35 years insomnia and now 4 months of regular, restful, amazing sleep.
No need to say "0h but the sleep is bad" cos compared to what I was having, its a fountain of youth...I have now been able to do morning exercise, stick to a healthy died (consistently!), I am a better partner, son, business owner...
But, TD...permanent?...Cant do it...
I've been off the meds for 5 days, barely slept, but fine. But I would like to go back on it if I can determine the safety...
