Better caption generator than the built in one?
I use the built in FCPX caption generator to create .srt files for youtube. But I find that I spend a lot of time correcting the timing of the captions. If often starts captions too early, or lets them drag too long during gaps of silence. So I've often having to break clips into 2, or nudge the caption at the start of the sentence, etc...
I've found that Davinci Resolve does a better job (I export the audio then bring the .srt back into FCPX) but it still occasionally does that thing where it starts the caption a second or two before the audio starts. Or it will put 2 half sentences on one caption instead of using a separate caption for each sentence.
So I was wondering what you guys use for captioning. Something in FCPX like a plug-in would be cool, but I don't mind exporting the audio to an external app. I've heard of Macwhipser and Subtitles studio but not sure if they are any good.
I don't mind paying because it would save me such much time than having to manually correct captions.
Any recommendations are welcome.
