Hi, I'm indozilla1234, and for a year and a day now, i've been working on a project called "Modmorpher" that attempts to help java users port their mods to bedrock(and help bedrock users port open source java mods to bedrock). After spending 366 days staring at Bedrock's API and dealing with code conversions... let’s all be completely honest with ourselves: Just play Java.

Pros: might bring greg to bedrock(they cannot handle the greatness without giving in to the dark side)

cons: Requires acknowledging Bedrock's existence.

And to answer Anakin's question in the meme... "Not on a console"

here's the link btw: github.com/indozilla1234/modmorpher

Celebrating 1 Year of Modmorpher!

One year and a day ago, I had an idea, "What if we could play java mods on bedrock?" that idea quickly grew into Modmorpher, a python CLI tool that can provide a starting point for porting java mods to Bedrock. So far it can convert

  • basic blocks
  • items
  • entities
  • whole structures
  • trading
  • loot pools
  • basic JS file generation
  • spawning
  • sounds
  • geometry (geckolib models work best)
  • Forge, Neoforge, and some Fabric and Quilt mods

And, yes. it's fairly easy to run, just use 'python modmorpher.py'

OH, and don't expect it to be perfect, it's quite a hard task(as I've unfortunately found out), and it's a WIP

I know it's technically not an addon, but I feel like it fits in this subreddit, let me know what you all think!
