Hiya Cargocampers!
This weekend is the maiden voyage (for me, anyway) of my little rig, Touch of Grey. She's a converted 6x12 single axle with solar and all the comforts of an old timey fishin camp. The initial conversion into a solid but stripped-down 'base camp' configuration was done by the gentleman on Long Island who sold her to me after his family outgrew it, and I've continued the conversion with stuff Ive been hoarding for years dreaming of the perfect canvas for a portable cabin.
I hunted for YEARS for a trailer with just the bare minimum requirements of: $4k budget, 12 feet, has trailer brakes, and an actual title. The title part was the hardest! But Craigslist finally delivered the goods. Considering the cost of the renogy system, a full roofload of panels, and the hybrid propane fridge that is now in my den full of IPA... the trailer itself was free lol.
I tow her - gingerly - with my 22 year old RX330, which is scheduled for a rear suspension upgrade before going on longer trips so I can stuff my little motorcycle (cbr250 repsol edition, all style no balls, a real commuter scooter ) in there too.
I hope all you lovely people have an excellent cargocamping season, your creativity and craftsmanahip is always an inspiration :)
Edit: I had a bunch of pics but they didnt upload and I can't figure out how to add them, I'll try to put them in comments. ugh.
