Am I Overacting? Should I ask for a refund?

Hi all! Hope you’re doing well! I wanted to get this communities opinion on my recent lash lift. I want to preface this by saying I’ve been getting lash lifts for probably 8 years (not super consistently but at least once a year for special occasions) and have never had one turn out like this.

Monday I went to a location I had visited before to get a lash lift for an upcoming international trip. I was really happy with my first lash lift from this place (I had to find a new place as I moved) so I decided to return. I didn’t request the same employee as a I was crunched for time due to my trip and just had to pick the one that worked for my schedule.

I requested a tight curl and let the stylist know that I’ve had lash technicians in the past say that my very straight lashes are stubborn and sometimes need a bit longer to take the curl. The results of this lash lift are truly the loosest curl I’ve ever received. I’m genuinely so disappointed as I spent $100 on this and it hardly looks like I even got a lift. I’ve added photos for comparison from my first lift from this place and my most recent one. I didn’t say anything when she showed me them after the appointment because I didn’t realize right away how truly lackluster the results were compared to previous results until I went home and looked back at some pictures to compare.

If you were in this situation, would you call to ask for a refund? I hate to make a fuss but I’m really so frustrated with the outcome given I expressed my wishes and my concerns and was left with this for a big trip. Lash lifts usually make me feel so confident and pretty and this time every time I look in the mirror I’m just disappointed and feel like a wasted so much money.

TLDR: Got a very poor lash lift after receiving a great one from the same location, just different stylist. Should I ask for my $100 back?
