Lash Lift and Tint gone wrong

Lash Lift and Tint gone wrong

This is my first Reddit post eek! I need advise! I went to a long time friend (turned acquaintance because we lost touch for several years) to get a lash lift and tint. I’ve done them at home with success. I’ve gotten three done professionally. The second one my old time acquaintance did it but it didn’t have much curl. I felt like it was a bit of a waste of money. I tried it again with her. This time - one eye took an extreme curl and the other is hardly curled at all. I politely commented on it after the service was complete and she was like “that’s the thing about lift and tints - you don’t always know what you’re going to get!” I paid and expressed my thanks. I am so embarrassed now. It is very obvious to me. What should I do? We will be traveling for the next week. They don’t recommend getting another lift for at least 8 weeks.

Advice

Hi!! Got my first lash lift and tint- the eye on the left is perfect, super happy with the results. There is a noticeable lift on the other eye but they look so asymmetrical. Is it normal for one eye not to take as well? Will it settle out and look less noticeable? Should I contact my lash tech and ask if she can touch it up? Would you charge for that?

Thanks!!

Better luck at home than at the salon?

I’ve had countless lash lifts, and my favorite ones tend to me when it doesn’t look very dramatic. When it starts to drop a little, I can curl my lashes and they’ll actually hold a curl!

I’m wondering if anyone is doing at home lifts to break down the natural lashes enough that they’ll hold a curl with a curler and mascara. Mine are so straight that that usually won’t cut it. I figure if I do it at home I can do a mini lift that won’t have the same awful grow out period.

This might be pretty niche, but I’d love to hear other people’s thoughts or recommendations.

Can anything be done?

Hi there, I had my first Korean lash lift done one week ago but noticed some lashes don't appear lifted and others are curling into my eyelid and kinking. Can anything be done or am I just being silly? I'm not near place that did it but I am happy to go somewhere to get it fixed if needed. Thank you!

is this normal/good results?

i just got my first ever lash lift since i thought i would be a good candidate (i naturally have very long lashes but they’re very straight so you can’t tell) and tbh they look clumpy and weird and im lowkey slightly concerned.
should i be? any tips?

For people who didn’t love their regular lash lifts, did you like the Korean lash lifts more?

I had my first lash lift almost 3 months ago and while the initial result was fine, the grow out process sucked. The lashes on my right eye looked like they were crimped and were growing in all sorts of directions so I couldn’t even wear mascara for 2 months because of how clumpy they looked. I’m curious if the grow out process is better with a Korean lift or should I just stick to an eyelash curler?

My natural lashes are long but stick straight thanks to my Asian genes so I’m lucky if my lashes stay curled after applying mascara ☹️

Can I re-do a lash lift after 3 and a half weeks?

I did a lash lift in Vietnam 3,5 weeks ago, I feel like they were done a bit too thight. They were almost touching my eyelids and made putting on mascara or eyeliner basically impossible. Now after a while they’ve grown a bit and I have some new growth as well. I want to do a lift on myself at home (done it years ago too, so I have some experience). Is it okay to do it now or should I wait longer? Also any tips to avoid making the same mistake and doing it too thight? I was thinking using a bigger rod and only applying the serums on roots/lower half, but please share any tips you may have, thanks :)

Question about the 6-8 weeks rule

Hi! So, I have kind of a dumb question, but I’d like to be 100% sure. For the 6-8 weeks rule, does it count since the day I got my lash lift, or from around the time they drop? My specific situation: I got them done tuesday, March 31, and I was wondering if it’d be safe to get another lift on saturday, june 13th. I could do it on the 14th too, just to be safe.
Thank you!

Can I get 2 lash lifts 24 hours apart?

Hi everyone I recently got my second lash lift today. I’ve had it done before and it was great however this time I went to someone else and one eye has already dropped. I followed the aftercare instructions but after about 2 hours the left eye dropped a lot. I want to get that side done again but wondering if it will damage that side or if I’ll end up losing my lashes but it looks off and it’s irritating me lol

Am I right to be disappointed?

I got a Korean lash lift and to me my lashes just look tinted, they don’t look anything like the results I’ve seen of other KLLs.

Top: after

Bottom: before

Korean lash lift & tint normal??

Is this what a Korean lash lift and tint should look like after 4 days? I feel like they look just slightly curled compared to my normal lashes

do more research on who you let put chemicals so close to your eyeballs

That is all!!!! Doing them at home is actually wild!! Going for a cheap lash lift without researching the tech is also wild!

Lash lifts aren’t for me…

Or for anyone with hyper sensitive eyes. I had a lash lift about a month ago, and while they were beautiful, my eyes had a delayed reaction to the perming agents. I really tried to love the lift, and I tried to maintain it for a couple days until my eyes started itching. I started getting this feeling of “there’s something in my eye” and I started getting these debris/crusts sitting on top of my lashes and it was what initially scared me because I thought they were lash mites. It started with severe itching, and my lashes feeling heavy when I would brush them up. I had an interview a couple weeks later, and I didn’t know that my eyes were already inflamed and it took the mascara to make it worse. I woke with a bump on the side of my right eye and it was there for weeks, only solution was warm compress. I tried everything, from diluted baby shampoo, to brushing them down, to even using an eyelid scrub just to keep them clean. I started washing them and scrubbing them gently, upwards and that’s what loosened the giant chunk of gunk in the middle of my upper lash line. My lashes are still curled from the perm but they’re finally sitting at their normal place. I’m still getting that foreign feeling and I’m still doing the warm compress and white, stringy gunk is still coming out of my right eye, but it made some progress. Lesson learned; I am never getting another lash lift ever.

I'm so confused about my Korean lash lift and tint.

I went in, spent literally forever there for her to do the service because I also did the brows and she had to retint the brows 3 times. When I left I was literally starving. When I got out of the restaurant next to the place, I finally saw myself again in the mirror in the car. Are the lashes supposed to be like stuck to the eyelid?

First lash lift four days before event

I’m getting my first lash lift (Korean lash lift) done next week, four days before I’m a bridesmaid at my friend’s wedding. Since booking I’ve seen loads of videos of people getting allergic reactions after lash lifts, so now I’m worried it’ll happen to me. I’ve had a patch test done behind my ear and it seems fine and no reaction, but I’ve seen people say that they had a reaction even after a patch test being fine. I’ve booked with a technician who has really good reviews and is professional and experienced. Shall I reschedule/cancel as it’s too risky or will it most likely be fine?

Bleaching of lashes

I do my own lash lifts at home(I know) and they turn out fine but I'm wondering if I'm doing something significantly wrong. Because every time after I do the lift my lashes are much much lighter than before? They also are slightly floppy for about two days before being normal again. Am I leaving one of the steps on too long? I'm using Korean lotion by aura Monaco. I dye them black anyway so it doesn't matter that they turn lighter, but I find it weird.

Picture doesn't help because it's after dying.the roots are light but I can't get that photographed.

How to care for lashes after lift?

Hi, I just got my first Korean lash lift done today, I was told not to get the lashes wet today. Is there anything else I should do?

What do yall think of the lash lift I gave myself? :D

I know they’re a tiny bit over processed but this is now the second time I’ve given myself one and I used the biggest rod since my lashes are a bit longer and look how cute!!! They’re a little bunched bc of the nutrition serum I just applied but I’m so pleased with them for a $30 overall kit from Amazon (also I do have less on my inner corner on one eye but it’s not as bald as it’s coming across in the pic hahaha )
