IndyGo Fare Inspector pt 2

Found myself on the same bus as the fare inspector who I had an incident with a few weeks ago.

Not sure if it’s appropriate to be fully asleep on the bus.

At least he isn’t harassing riders this afternoon !

Donating Golf Equipment

Hello Reddit friends,

I am hoping someone on here can help point me in the right direction. I was given a ton of golf clubs and other equipment after my wife’s grandfather passed. He was an avid golfer . I was going to golf but it’s too expensive of a hobby for me and I injured my leg to where it is difficult for me to even try to golf.

Anyway,
I am wanting to donate this equipment to a school or somewhere that I know will benefit from them. Not just to a reseller (Tons of Higher end clubs) looking to make a quick buck.

Anyone know of any schools or orgs that could benefit from this?

As far as I can tell, there are enough of each club to complete 3 sets , a really big Golf Bag and various tees and golf balls, gloves.

Thanks for the help!

Hello Indy Friends!

I just want to kinda gauge a situation and see if it’s just an isolated experience with me or if it happens to a lot of people.

So I’ve been noticing that there is a Fare Inspector who I usually see on the Redline / Purple Line who has a serious power trip. This man is constantly rude to the elderly and folks who he deems as (non payers), including myself. I pay with the my Key App and do not usually have an issue.

Other than being rude, he is condescending to others, and I would even say racist. For example today when I got on, he was yelling at everyone to go to the front of the line to pay, which I get is his job but it’s not what he is saying, it’s the way he says it. I had my headphones in because the loud noises bother me and while he was yelling, he looked at me and said something along the lines of “you, do you even speak English”. ( no music was playing, only had them on so that I wouldn’t get over stimulated and anxious with the noise)

Kiosk at IU Methodist was down, I paid on the bus*

Then when I paid, I was walking towards the seats and noticed that he was taking up 2 seats and when I asked him if he wouldn’t mind moving so that the elder folks and people with disabilities like myself could sit down, he looked at me and said “who do you think you are talking to, and you don’t look disabled to me. Mind you I’m in a medical boot and am 6 weeks removed from major foot surgery and near amputation. after an exchange of words I told him I was talking to him. And I called him out on his bullshit, letting him know that this was not the first time he has yelled at me or other people. That I pay my fare just like everyone else and that maybe he would have an easier time if he wasn’t such a dick all the time.

He then told me to watch my mouth or else. And I laughed and asked him what was the “or else” and he said “you gona find out”

After that I just smiled and put my headphones back on and let him continue his bs.

To conclude his bullshit , when the bus stopped at the CTC (my stop) he rushed from the back of the bus , jumped in front of me while I was trying to disembark. And just stood blocking the doorway for a good 30 seconds.
I’m not sure if he was trying to instigate a physical altercation, I’m too old for that shit.

This is probably my 3rd or 4th interaction with this gentleman. He is so awful that I’ve even considered getting off and waiting for the next bus because he makes the experience so awful.

*** while on the bus I had a conversation with a few elders that were riding and sitting next to me and they said that this guy is always mean to people and has cussed them out before. And that they hate riding when he is on the bus.

Just wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this.
