looking to trade pink collar work
hey all! i’m currently rebuilding my clientele after moving cross country! i’m a hairdresser who specializes in lived in colors and razor cutting! i do pretty much everything though behind the chair! i was looking to maybe find some other pink collar friends who’d want to trade services with one another. you get your hair done in exchange for whatever cool service you provide. also not opposed to things not in the pink collar realm if you’ve got a cool trade or service you provide. also give people a space to maybe find trades they’ve been looking for! i work in carmel myself! we’d also be able to help with advertising for each other, since if i was ie getting my lashes done with you, of course im telling ALL the women in my chair to go to you!
anyway, just looking for some girlie pop solutions for us all in this shitty economy and well, all of it rn.
Looking for a good vet that won’t obliterate my poor wallet
I haven’t found a vet I love and the ones I’ve tolerated so far have been absurdly expensive.
If you wondered were our taxes were going
Pretty cool seeing what the state actually spends money on

Any vet clinics that allow walk-ins for vaccinations?
Hey ya'll, I was wondering if anybody knew og any clinics where I might get my 6 month kitten vaccinated. When I first tried taking her to the vet she was still too young and underweight, and now it's been a few months and I think she's ready.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

electrical ac STAYS at 70, all windows stay closed, lights are immediately turned off when rooms are left. i wasn’t even using the lights for most of this month, because i like being in the dark, whats happening??
edit: figured it out!! my sweetheart of a friend left the ac on full blast instead of auto when he visited (he accidentally poured water down the vents and got nervous about mold then forgot about it LOL) & immediately told me while i was venting to him about the cost, and asked if he could pay for the upcharge :) he’s a sweetie
Where are we shopping for groceries?
Hey y'all!
Just moved here from Atlanta, live in Herron Morton and I'm struggling to find a place to get my daily groceries.
There's a Kroger nearby but frankly, it sucks. Maybe I just am not aware of other chains I need to be looking for but when I search "groceries" on Google maps, not much comes up. It doesn't seem like there's many options but wanted to check if I'm missing something.
So, friends, where are we getting quality meats and veggies?
Thanks so much!
Edit: thanks everyone for the recommendations! This made me realize I'm just not used to driving 15-20 minutes to a grocery store and I need to expand my horizons haha.

reddit.comRandos parking in my driveway
I've heard of this happening to other people who live near the fairgrounds, but it's never happened to me until today. There's something infuriating about it even though I don't drive anymore. Like, if they had rang my doorbell and asked, I'd probably say "fine". But just doing it without asking is... somewhat violating for some reason.
I'm not going to have them towed or anything either (unless they do it again). It's just frustrating.
Anybody else ever have to deal with this? What did you do?
Edit: Apparently I can't have them towed, even if I wanted to. They're not blocking my driveway (near my garage, there is room to park to the side on concrete). The rules if they aren't blocking:
If a vehicle is parked on private residential property without permission, it must remain for 48 hours (or be tagged with a notice for 24 hours) before it can be legally towed as an abandoned vehicle.
who is good for chronic joint pain and possible RA in Indianapolis?
Indy folks, has anyone found a rheumatologist who is good with chronic joint pain and possible autoimmune issues? I’m trying to understand what a real rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis should include, not just “take NSAIDs and see what happens.” Would you recommend IU Health, Community, private practices, or somewhere else? Who actually listened and gave you a clear plan?
What saved Rocky Ripple?
Here is a question.
With record-breaking flooding in Noblesville, why did Indianapolis - Rocky Ripple get spared?
There was a prediction as high as 17 1/2 feet which would have gone over the top of the levee.
Could it be that the breach of the White River into the Carmel Stone Quarry was enough to take pressure off the flood?
Sweet 3 month old kitten looking for her forever home ASAP
A few days ago, we found this sweet little girl outside. Or honestly, I should say she found us.
We originally planned to keep her, but unfortunately, our two adult male cats have started spraying despite both being neutered. Since Mira is still too young to be spayed, we’re worried about the spraying getting worse or becoming a serious issue in our rented apartment. As much as we love her, we unfortunately can’t risk having our apartment filled with the smell of cat urine, so we’re looking for a loving home for her as soon as possible.
We named her Mira, and she is an absolute sweetheart. She is VERY cuddly, VERY affectionate & incredibly friendly. She has also done really well with adjusting to both of our cats and has had no issues getting along with them after just a few days.
We’ve given her a bath and bought a flea comb to make sure she was clean and comfortable. We haven’t noticed any signs of fleas, but we also purchased ear mite medication for her just in case that we can send with her. She appears to be healthy and happy.
We are asking for a $65 rehoming fee. This is not about making money from her. We simply want to make sure she goes to someone who is financially and emotionally prepared to care for her and to help discourage anyone with bad intentions from taking advantage of a very friendly kitten.
Our biggest priority is finding Mira a safe, stable, loving forever home where she’ll be treated like family.
If you’re genuinely interested in giving Mira a home, please message me with a little information about yourself, your home and any other pets you have. We really want to make sure she goes to the right person.
Awful experience with Rise on Meridian
My girlfriend just moved out of this apartment complex, and I wanted to share her experience so other people in town don’t end up going through the same thing.
The day she moved in, the head of maintenance cornered her while she was alone and told her she wasn’t allowed to park in her assigned parking space, even though she had the sticker for it. When she told him she had a sticker for the spot, he yelled at her for not being nice enough. She reported the incident, and management basically told her he’d never been a problem before. A few months later, he followed her into the elevator to ask if they were “cool,” which understandably made her uncomfortable.
There were also issues with the apartment itself. The bathroom above hers was leaking into her ceiling when she moved in. They patched the drywall without actually fixing the leak, and as far as she knows, it’s still leaking. The pool was consistently gross, and because of the way the building is laid out, a huge portion of the apartments overlook it. That meant everyone in the middle of the building got to hear every conversation and party happening at the pool. There was also a lot of trash and animal waste in the common areas. I can personally attest that the halls often smelled like garbage.
But this is the part that really blows my mind.
She scheduled a move-out walkthrough for the end of her lease. They simply never showed up. She waited around, eventually sent them a video of the apartment, and two hours later they told her they had done their own walkthrough and would probably be charging her $200+ for drywall damage from six Command hooks.
Had they actually shown up to the appointment, she could have removed the hooks properly without damaging the drywall. Now she has to rely on the same maintenance department she had previously reported for harassment to remove them and, hopefully, not hit her with some ridiculous charge.
The craziest part is that she probably stayed there 20 or 30 nights total over the entire 18 months she lived there. Because of everything that happened with maintenance, and knowing they had access to her apartment, she was never comfortable staying there and spent most of her time at my place.
The apartment was otherwise immaculate. The only issues were the water damage from the apartment above, which she reported multiple times, and the *six* Command hooks.
Just an all-around weird experience.
One other thing worth mentioning: she said they heavily encouraged residents to pay rent with credit cards and offered rewards for doing so. That feels pretty predatory to me, although I guess that’s a separate issue. I also feel that they shouldn’t give new residents a discount for leaving good reviews after their tour, but what do I know.
Anyway, just wanted to give people in the city a heads-up.
ETA: people are really stuck on the hooks. I know they cause damage and she should have dealt with them. She screwed up and forgot. It happens. She should pay for that.
I think we’re possibly missing the bigger picture, which is that the missed walk through put a man who harassed her to the point where she was scared to sleep at home the power to retaliate against her for reporting him.
Anyone else who lives near the fairgrounds dealing with internet going out?
Live across the road and my internet's been out for an hour now. My girlfriend works from home so this has been frustrating to say the least. I'm mostly just trying to see if this is because of congestion from the fair, because T-Mobile customer service has been zero help.

wrtv.comNeed a Cheap Cat Tooth Extraction SOON
Hello, my formerly stray adopted cat Margo needs a tooth out very badly, and I can't afford the $700+ the place I took her wanted. She's miserable, and I'm upset and unsure where to turn. I know there's a low cost places, but without some specifics ahead of time I'm afraid of hitting another wall expense wise. Thanks everyone.
Awful experience at AMC 17
So I went to see The End of Oak Street at AMC 17 and the entire screen had this awful purplish tint the whole time. And this isn’t even the first time, the exact same thing happened when I saw Obsession there too. Same theater. I’m 99% sure it’s the same broken projector just sitting there unfixed.
I told the service desk right away and they said they’d handle it. 20 minutes go by. Nothing. So now I’ve lost 20+ minutes of the movie and I have to go find someone myself.
I run into the “supervisor” who takes a look at the screen, and goes “nothing looks wrong to me.” So I pull up photos I took. His genius response: “that’s the tint in your camera, your camera is faulty.” I’m sorry, WHAT.
So I ask for literally any reasonable fix:
- Move us to a later showtime? No.
- Different date? No.
- Different auditorium? No.
- Refund? Sure, but only if I leave the theater RIGHT NOW, while my friends are still inside watching the movie.
At least give back the booking fees? Nope, gift card only, take it or leave it.
Then I ask the obvious question, are you guys going to stop showing movies in that auditorium until the projector’s fixed? Straight up told me no, it’s staying in rotation, business as usual. And somehow I was the only person in the whole theater who actually walked out over this.
Filled out their contact form 3 days ago. Radio silence. Anyone else dealt with this kind of nonsense at AMC? At this point I don’t even want to go back.
