Long story short, my family car was rear ended(not at fault) and totaled, leaving us with no vehicle to drive after our insurance covered rental is due back next Monday. This is an hour away but seems to be in relatively good condition and meets our needs(family of 4, travel 3 to 4 times a year). We need something reliable while we save up for a second vehicle that will be sufficient on storage and travel with our two kids. I am familiar with how well loved the pre 2011 CR-V's are and their reputation for being reliable up to 300k miles if cared for properly. I requested information on maintenance and accident history, any leaking or trans slipping, etc from the dealer since I can't just drive up there to look at it at the moment. Is there anything I should for in this year model that could be a potential pass? Tell me yalls honest thoughts please.
