My manager is contracted to 42.5 hours per week with half an hour lunch break each day. Since before I started my role as supervisor with this company 18 months ago, my manager makes sure she stays at work a little extra time between Monday and Thursday, then claims time off in lieu every Friday, allowing herself to only come into work for a couple of hours on Fridays. She usually leaves work mid morning.
If my colleagues and myself were to ask the general manager (who is aware of what the manager does) if we can work more hours for 4 days a week and having a shorter day for 1 day, just as our manager does, what do you think the chances would be that it's allowed? Surely it can't be one rule for the manager and one rule for the rest of us?
The manager tends to make up her own rules and this complaint is only one of many. Surely it's an unfair situation?
