Just watched this movie..
And I mean, just.. Like, the credits are still playing as I'm typing this. I just need the public to know that this is an absolute masterpiece that not only made me cry many times, but I had to stand up and walk around a few times. Take a break from it all. I haven't fully digested it, but wow. I've heard nothing about it prior to watching (aside from the "lala hand" ofc). I'm not usually into romance movies, but decided to give this a try. I'm so glad I did. City of Stars is a gorgeous song, immediately added to my playlist. And the dancing? The singing? It's all so good. And don't even get me started on that ending. I was confused during a lot of that music sequence, but when the kid showed up, the pieces clicked into place. It's so tragic yet hopeful. What could've been, what became. Both Mia and Sebastian achieved their dreams, and couldn't have done it with the other. But their dreams (and how they changed) tore apart their relationship. Man. 10/10, would watch again. Sorry for the rant(?), just had to share my thoughts.
