high pitch noise Mercruiser 3.0TKS with Alpha drive one. on FS18 Mariah
Hi Fellow Boaters,
I have since a year or so a nice Mariah FS18, i have already invested quite a bit before today running her in the water other then the test ride we did when we purchased.
I have replaced the bellow that was showing wear (but not leak) and let everything check.
Yesterday we did about 2 hours boating, whereby the wife pushed a bit the last part arround 4400 rpm for a while. Afters some time we hear a high pitch noise. I checked a few times and it happends only on high rpm after some time, on 5k rpm it happend after a few secondend and on lower (4400) it takes some more time.
We have planned a familiy trip tomorrow but im not comfortable with it. if its the gimball bearing, what is the change we are destroying more then just the bearing, even when we will be cruising. If its the u-joint i guess its even worse, but i would recon this make a different noise.
