If you are considering the Long Term Disability coverage through the teamsters vip+ plan DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!! I just lost my appeal with the Hartford, they consider any income from the VIP+ plan as an offset to our existing 3600 a month benefit, so you pay them for coverage and The Hartford will offset this benefit deducting it from what we should get from , making it a burden instead of a benefit. HOPEFULLY this post will spread some info to those considering this option. The STD is unaffected , it works as intended but takes about 2 months to receive first check.
