Has anyone had the slow swallow last longer than the 3 months the Botox is active? Not with every bite anymore it’s gotten easier but I will have to drink water to have the food go down otherwise it just sits in my throat.
I had my Botox 4 weeks and 2 days ago. I immediately had swallowing issues with anything other than water. Everything had to be washed down with a large gulp of water or more, this lasted the first 1-2 weeks, since then it has improved slightly but even at this far out I am still having problems, while I don’t use as much I am still having to wash down almost every bite with water, while it is less it’s still frustrating and uncomfortable. Is there anything I can do to speed up the process to swallow normally again? Has anyone had this last longer than a few weeks? I have found for most people this subsides within the first 2 weeks.
I had my surgery yesterday and I’ve been micro burping all day, most times I move I will have air come out. Is this normal? Will it go away after I heal more? My throat feels like there is a lump in it and is sore to swallow as well.
I just had my surgery today!! Staying in a hotel near the hospital and wondering if there’s any symptoms or side effects i should watch for? I am a little worried, as I am sure everyone is post op.
