When to replace bobbin?

Any tips for how to keep track or tell when a bobbin will be done and needs to be replaced? How can I tell whether a bobbin will be enough to finish a seam? What happens if you run out in the middle of sewing? Thanks!

Tell me what I can do with upholstery fabric scraps. I was gifted a lot of beautiful designer upholstery fabric from UK (e.g. William Morris). I’ve made some zipper pouches and tote bags but what else can I make? Is it possible to make clothing (e.g. small top or vest) with this fabric?
