Hello,

I've spoken to a senior CRA twice and got 2 different answers on this. I have the breakdown of the condo fee. I know the line item for reserve fund cannot be used for a deduction. The condo association few years ago took out a loan to do roof work (instead of a special assessment. There are 2 line items for the loan: 1) payment 2) interest

Is the interest portion an allowable deduction ? I'm assuming the payment is definitely not as it was for a capital expense.
