Potentially Title Jumped

Im from indiana i travelled to chicago to meet up with a private seller from facebook marketplace. i never knew title jumping was a thing and there was also a language barrier but my friend came with to translate. the title is a illinois title and it starts off with 2 original owners on the front and they had a lien on it which was released by the bank in 2015 from there the owners sold it to a dealership in 4/13 2023. from there that dealership sold it to another on 5/5/23 which the original dealership trying to sell it made a error on the title and fixed it with a affidavit. from there that dealership sold it to another dealership on 3/10/26 and the signature on that reassignment part that is buying it from that dealership is the same signature on the title that is signed on the seller line on the same reassignment box i have to fill out. so to the eye to me it looks legit and connected but i took it to the bmv and they said jumped title i contacted the seller and hes willing to work with me he said it isnt his name on the title and hes not sure who he is and that he got it from a auction and hes has the auction payment invoice and then after getting it vin checked by the cops it came back clean and i found a auction receipt but the buyer is another dealership it looks like and it was bought on 4/01/26 i bought the car 6/3/2026 i have the title, that payment auction receipt, the affidavit for the error, i can get a bill of sale for what i paid for it, i can get the auction invoice, i got it checked for the vin aswell what more would i need to get this in my name and transferred
