Im pretty happy for a first time. Should I lighten the edges after I've painted the rest of the model ?

Hello there,
I wanted to start a white scars army, so I got the starter set with the teminators, the infernus marines and the captain in terminator armour (and also some tyranids).
I would like to paint the captain and 3 out of 5 terminators like ebon keshig terminators and the 2 remaining terminators like white scars veteran, and the infernus marines like normal white scars. Can I ? Is that not a problem if all the teminators don’t have the same color scheme and if the captain is an ebon keshig ?

EDIT : I just forgot to ask if anyone had any suggestions on how to paint them (color scheme or technique). Also, sorry for my bad english, it’s not my native language.
