Why were Jax and Brittany ever together?
I just finished watching seasons 1-11, at the end of season 2 of The Valley, and watching the special where Brittany and Jax go to Kentucky and I can't help but wonder....why were they ever together??? They have nothing in common, they have no chemistry, Jax obviously never even liked Brittany, she is nothing that he ever wanted or liked before, and he always treated her so badly from the second she got to LA.
I truly don't understand how it wasn't blatantly obvious to her that she was 10000% more into him than he was into her....to her he was this big Hollywood hot guy and she was just some random Kentucky farm girl, so she clearly thought she pulled someone out of her league which is very sad. I guess at some point she felt she was in too deep, but after years of his bipolar, narcissistic, and drug fueled rages I can't believe she ever wanted to be with him much less bring a child into their home. She was in such a rush to get married and have kids it didn't even seem to matter who the guy was, she just wanted a husband.
I was with a Jax-type guy for a few years and I'm so glad we never had children together and that I left him when I did, although I wish I never agreed to the first date to begin with. But even as someone who has been in her shoes, I don't understand how she wanted to continue this relationship with him for so long when it was so clear he didn't like her and wanted her to end the relationship so he didn't have to. Especially when she had a good support system of friends and family that would have supported her leaving him or even moving back home to Kentucky (which IMO is what she should have done). Jax got accustomed to Brittany taking care of him like a mother and he liked all the things she did for him even though he didn't actually like Brittany as a person and Brittany I'm guessing felt like she was never going to do any better than Jax especially after she began having issues with weight gain and getting work done.
They were the couple that made the least amount of sense on this show IMO and I hated seeing them together and hearing the way he spoke to and about her. I just can't stand him, he needs to go away forever.
