Is it worth it marrying someone with not much chemistry?
I (32F) am seeing someone (36M), I’ve known the man since 5 years but I was in an another relationship (got engaged and separated 2 years ago). We were never close, he was just someone I know, he recently brought the subject of dating up and I agreed.
He is a quiet man, works 8-5 in a decent firm, goes to gym, tall, good looking, kind, but I cant help to notice that we have poor chemistry when we are together, and when I make a joke, he doesn’t even understand it. Our conversations die quickly, and I cant help it but I end up comparing him to the connections I had in my previous relationships (which were not many, 2 to be exact).
He opened the marriage subject recently, and I’ve been considering his offer but hesitating. My friends tell me not to make it a big of a deal and always choose the kind man, and there arent lots of choices in our age :( but I cant even develop a strong attraction to him.
Did anyone here have similar beginnings and was able to develop connection or attraction with time, or is this not a possibility?
