throwaway account because i don’t want this attached to my main.
a little context, my gf and i (18f) have been hooking up since january and became official in april. her best friend who i will call rose, lives with her. roses dad frequently visits the house and it had been a running joke since before i knew my gf that roses dad and my gf are together (btw roses dad who i will call paul is married and pushing 40).
somehow this joke dramatically escalated over the month of march i think, and became a will they won’t they of if paul and my gf will have sex. i was really worried about this (which isn’t irrational i wouldnt say) and expressed me concerns to my gf frequently and most recently on this just gone weekend at a friends 19th i asked my gf if she was in fact going to have wed with paul, to which she said no because we are together (sounds legit right??????).
today after a fucked up shift at work i return to my gfs house and am stiring with her in the lounge. we go to the kitchen and she starts to whisper telling me that there is something she has to tell me even though she swore on everyone’s life she wouldn’t tell anyone bc she promised she would tell me and she thinks i know what it is.
for more background info real quick, she is going outer-state to stay a ”friends” house (quotations marks bc she used to like this girl and has me asked if they can hook up which i said no to, so thats a whole other issue!!) so my mind immediately went to this girl and i thought she was going to tell me she wants to have sex with HER, unfortunately the truth was far worse than i anticipated. she simply said “paul“ and i said “oh. what happened” she said “we fucked” and i asked when and she proceeded to tell me it was AN HOUR AND A HALF AGO.
now i know you guys are probably just going to tell me to leave her but what the fuck is the appropriate emotional response to this because i feel inconsolable! anyway any and all thoughts are welcome because i am tweaking. thank you for reading!
