Algonquin Camping Trip

Our 3rd camping trip this year. Getting used to setting up the tarp and glad I gained some experience beforehand as I needed to prepare for the storm. Things held up on a heavy down pour but when the wind started to go, I almost lost a tarp. Learned from this and can better prepare next time out. Buying a tent we can stand in has been a fantastic upgrade.
We saw 13 shooting stars on night.

I wish the site was further away from the highway.

2016 Audi A5 2.0 TFSI Maintenance

Hey everyone. My car is at about 186,000km. What kind of service would you guys recommend?
I just did the engine oil change, atx transmission oil change, engine and cabin air filter not that long ago. Anything major should I consider at this mileage?
I’m thinking the control arms are next.

What kind of food do you guys cook while out camping?

I would typically bring Korean bbq short ribs since it’s quick to cook. On my last trip I also brought salmon, steak, and chicken. The cooler was pretty packed.

Next trip I want to carry a lot less so now I’m thinking of just buying food at a local grocery store by the campsite rather than hauling everything from home which is hours away.

Curious if anyone else does this?

Bear horn

So we had quite a recent scare the other night camping at Arrowhead as I believe we had a bear come next to our tent. This was our own fault and learned a valuable lesson.

Anyway I’m looking to get a bear horn. Saw a comment on the product saying they’d use it every 20min when out hiking. Would this be socially accepted? I’m also reading that it’s only meant to warn bears, but not for when you’ve already encountered one. How come?

Anything else you guys would recommend asides from getting a bear spray?

I know it’s a crystal ball question but what would you guys suggest based on the options I have.
I have about $335k remaining.
