My daughter acquired this 6V side by side and the battery was dead. I bought a 20v dewalt conversion with an in line fuse. Full disclosure, I am a newb when it comes to anything with electricity but this seemed like a good opportunity to learn. The original battery was connected to what looked like a charging port, but I bypassed that (because i didnt think it was needed) and just connected the adapter to the wires that run directly to the front of the car. I had minor success as the headlights come on, however, Im not getting any power to the motor (*with help* I used an ammeter to check). Has anyone dont this conversion before? What am I missing?
