Attic floor fell through to my room
My dad was in the attic and accidentally slipped and nearly fell through the attic floor. Part of the floor did fall through and caused a grand black dust cloud to fall over everything.
We're not very educated so my dad immediately got to vacuuming and clearing out everything. I then decided to look up what to do in this case and found out that asbestos was quite commonly used in homes before 2000. My house was built in the 1930s.
What should be our next course of action? Should we get a quote for a surveyor and such?
I don't know if it's me being paranoid but I do feel a little clogged up in my chest area after looking this up.
