T-Mobile
I’ve been in my moms t-mobile account for 5+ years, so when I was looking into setting up my own phone plan I was going to choose t mobile as they hadn’t done me wrong before, well I went in to inquire about how much my first month would be, if I did end up going with t mobile, as I’m trying to save money to get on my feet. Well I could t afford to go thru with the plan so I told the guy to just cancel the whole thing, he said he would keep the offer open for 7 days in case I changed his mind, I confirmed I didn’t need to do anything else if I never came back in. 2 months later I was reached out to by a collections agency saying I owe T-Mobile $207 for an unpaid account, which I obviously never set up. I call up customer support and they were amazing they tried their best to do everything they could to help me. T mobile determined the charges made to me were valid, due to account usage. Which makes no sense since I never received a SIM card let alone a phone to even use the account on. Within further inspection by the amazing customer service people they can see that there is no receipt for me buying a phone or a SIM card. Which should make this case pretty cut and dry. T-Mobile on the other hand somehow determined that I used the SIM card on the 10th of February (which is when I opened the account) and the 17th of February (which is when the offer was supposed to close). I reached out to the debt collector and they told me that T-Mobile talked to them about how the charges were valid and they won’t budge on it. Thankfully the debt collector somehow managed to knock the price down from $207 to $107 but that’s still so much money. In a struggling adult just trying to get back on my feet after many hardships, and now I can’t eat for a week because T-Mobile wants to screw me out of money
