Stop asking me to come in your house!!

Stop asking me to come in your house!!

Listen, I get that older people need help, and I love to help people where I can. But as a younger female, I do NOT want to keep going inside strangers houses!! I don’t know them, and it is dangerous. I’ve had at least 5+ people ask me to do this on recent shops, and I always feel bad so I say yes 🥲 but it makes me so uncomfortable. Surely there is a delivery service for the elderly that can provide them with this? Because for $5 tips, I’ve had enoughhhh of walking into a strangers home with the door closing behind me. Anyone else dealing with this?

ETA: this is just a rant. I love the “who helps the elderly the most” competition in the comments as well, lmao, go buy yourself a trophy and save it pls. I always help these people. I’m also not unreasonably afraid or fearmongering, but the elderly and disabled are not little babies incapable of harm. They are literally people just like anyone else! https://www.nytimes.com/2026/05/08/nyregion/murder-brooklyn-dismember-guilty.html

Crego park wood scrap

Does anyone know why all of this wood is just piled up and sitting outside at Crago Park? It’s been like this for at least a year lol
