So I am a second year law student in Mumbai University. (just completed second year)

my avg cgpa so far (for last 3 sems) is 50%. I have interned for 6-ish months so far. I wanted to intern this summer but I was a little late to apply and my cousin who is also a lawyer, said that summers are anyways a waste for interns since the courts are closed. I was going to intern with her but she is on maternity leave.

My question or doubt is should I look for an internship now and start in June or should I take the time to kick off patent agent preparation? If I should intern. What firms should I apply to?? I live in Mumbai .
