No longer prescribed benzos
As the title says I've not been prescribed benzos or bought them off the street for a good 2 years. To this day I still have the effects of withdrawal, maybe because of the 12mg of klonopin and 20mg of diazepam a day I was taken quickly off of. I've been to the doctor's over these two years and tried nearly every ssri, snri, mao, and atypicals. Currently prescribed pregabalin 200mg twice a day but I take it all at once and this allows me to get out of bed. My anxiety is really bad, my depression is getting worse and I went to the doctor's today for them to say I have exhausted all the treatment options and they can't prescribe diazepam even though it's the only med that works. I don't want to be on pregabalin anymore but I'm so addicted that I can't see it happening for a long time. I just need advice on what to do? I'm from the UK and sorry if this post doesn't relate to the group.
