Is the second Zeztz Driver useless (out of universe)? + my hopes for the future of Zeztz
Like, they made Baku give the Exdream driver to 3 (which was also stupid. Why did he even untransform before hand?), and now Zero made a new one… only for Baku to get the Exdream driver back one ep later. We do see Baku use Orderm next episode (thank GOD Toei are bringing this thing back from the 2-episode-hell-hole), so it might be of some use. But that raises 2 questions:
Why isn’t he using Exdream next week? Well, he is. We see it in the preview, but we also se Orderm, so how does that work? We know Orderm is not only weaker, but also doesn’t fit in the new driver, so maybe something happens, like CODE: Somnia does some stuff idk, we’ll have to wait and see.
Even if there is an explanation as to why he doesn’t use Exdream, it still feels lazy bc that was never the in-universe plan for that, so it just feels shoved in there.
Do I like Zeztz? Yes, I love it. I think it’s already in my top 3 favorite reiwa shows with Zero-One and Gavv. Do I like that Exdream is not being overused bc it’s Op as hell, and that older forms are getting some time in the spotlight? Ofc. But I just wish this didn’t impact the tone/pacing of the show in a negative way. But who knows, maybe next week’s episode ties this together in a satisfying way?
Maybe they give it to Minami or something (I haven’t seen the TTFC Minami shorts, but I do know she becomes Knight Seventeen. Idk if this becomes permanent or anything, so I can’t really comment on that. Also for some reason we don’t see her in the movie promo with all the agents? Yes, I think it’s probably just showing the agents who are capable of lucid dreaming, but apparently she learns dream learning in the TTFC shorts. However, once again idk how those implications work here.)
Also as it seems Seig is back for good now so hopefully Dawn will get a final form? Fingers crossed, I really hope so, maybe all the guys get cool parallel final forms with insert song? Kick Start and NoxoN are straight peak.
Also who do you think the final villain is gonna be? It looks to be the Oblivion Gore Nightmare to me, as we only have 10 eps left roughly, and they might show up next week. I just hope they learn from Gavv so as to NOT make another "last 2 eps random rider". Just give us the villain faction as a last boss Toei! If Gavv didn’t stop the tradition, we would’ve done this shtick for 10 years now!
Anyway, Zeztz is great and I love it a lot.
