Has anyone here gone through bankruptcy while financing devices through T-Mobile, but didn’t include T-Mobile in the bankruptcy?
I recently filed bankruptcy and intentionally did not include my T-Mobile account because I wanted to keep everything active and continue paying normally. However, T-Mobile was notified and all of my EIPs were suddenly closed out.
I contacted T-Force and they said they were going to reach out to their offline team and submit the account for review. Since then, my account has changed again. All of the EIPs disappeared completely and now my account actually shows a credit balance instead of my current balance.
A few things I’m trying to understand:
- Is this temporary while they review things?
- Do they sometimes reinstate the EIPs after review, or is that basically a lost cause?
- If the EIPs stay closed, what usually happens next?
- They told me the phone IMEIs would not be blocked/blacklisted. Has that been true for others?
Just trying to figure out what to realistically expect from here. Curious if anyone else has gone through this process and how it ended up working out for them.
