I have religous friends who are not homophobic, but it doesnt feel right.
So to make things short, I have friends who are Muslim, and they know I'm muslim and are not homophobic towards me or others. That being said, they still believe that it's a sin and I don't understand how they can be deeply religous, and still be friends with me because clearly their God believes in punishing queer people. (Please dont argue me on this I used to be Muslim too and I read the Quran he clearly destroyed a community for engaging in homosexual sex.)
So although I wanna believe that two people with different religions can be friends, I find it so icky that they believe in something so homophic. I don't know if that makes me the phobic one but I don't feel like I'm having a genuine conversation about being an ally whenever I'm talking to someone from an Abrahamic religion.
This was triggered by the fact that she told me to start and only fans and make money because if she wasnt religous, she would be doing it. That means that their understanding of sins and ethics don't match and I don't understand why they would be believing in something they don't think to be true. Let me know if you have religous friends because I'm so sick of them labeling every religous issue as cultural. I also find it weird that they can be friends with non muslims because they believe that everyone else is gonna go to hell. Something doesn't feel genuine.
