Hello all,
My partner and I have been accepted for a housing lottery apartment, and with some urgency are looking for someone to take over our 1 br rent stabilized apartment in Astoria. We are quite sentimental leaving this place behind.
Rent: $2,377.38
Lease Term: June 1, 2026 - September 30, 2027 - You will be locked into the $2,377.38 rent until Sept 2027 with the option to resign for 1 or 2 years at the rent stabilized rates.
Apartment: 2nd floor, about 800 sqf. This apartment has been the perfect size for us as a couple. It has 3 closets, a built-in bookshelf and cabinet in the living room, and a great large bedroom that could fit a king sized bed. There is classic moulding throughout, picture rails, radiator heat, beautiful hardwood floors, and newer windows.
Building: Classic prewar building with an elevator! Super lives downstairs and is extremely quick to respond. He is truly the best. There is a trash room with a chute to the basement right next to our unit, and the super does a great job at clearing out the recycling every day. He is also exceptionally on top of snow and ice removal in the winter. Exterminator services provided once a month per sign up (we’ve only ever used it once). Rent is paid through an online portal. No laundry in the building, but a convenient laundromat right down the same block. Pet friendly!
Location: We love Astoria! The apt is really close to the 30th Ave NW. My commute to work in downtown Manhattan is about 40 minutes door to door.
Qualifications: Classic 40x income and credit check, as the lease takeover is through the management company. Please only reach out if you make a combined gross income of at least $95,000 a year and have a good credit score.
Some other things: Management is going to repaint and clean before move in. I’ll be showing the apartment starting this week and we’re very motivated to find someone! Reach out with any questions
