UP security checkpoints

Looking for info about how bad the up checkpoints really are. I’ve heard bits and pieces about how they’re stricter than Bnsf. Also about how if you take a route by south texas, there could be a possible dea/ice checkpoint. Anyone here who’s ridden the tx -> Cali route who could provide some insight?

Looking to catch out of Oklahoma and head northwest

Trying to determine a route I could take to head that way. Only issue is most IM just go straight to CHI, and every time I’ve gone up there the yards are very difficult to me. Thinking about maybe bussing down to the Amarillo area and catching one out north. Any advice would be appreciated.

A few years back I was visiting Japan for a few months and found a moped on marketplace for around ¥20,000. It wasn’t pretty by any means, but I loved it for its charm and it got me well over 500 miles and never had a single issue. Anyways, I tried to give it away to someone but no one would take it because they thought it was too ugly lol. So I parked it at a bike area outside of a station and figured I’d see if it was still there when I come back. Not sure when I will take another visit so wanted to see if anyone could go take a look and see if it still resides there! The coordinates are (35.1523641, 140.3119916). It is at the Katsuura Station 勝浦駅 in the bike lot.
