[TOMT][VIDEO GAME][2018-2021?] Indie open-world RPG/soulslike with moon phase mechanic, multiple biomes, and restart after several deaths

I’m trying to remember the name of an indie RPG/soulslike game I played around 5 years ago.

Here’s what I remember:

  • It was an indie RPG, possibly soulslike because of the difficulty.
  • Open world.
  • The title may have included words like “blood”, “bone/bones”, or “moon”.
  • It was NOT dark fantasy. The atmosphere was more mysterious/fantasy than grim.
  • You start in a small enclosed/tutorial area with a wooden sword.
  • After leaving the starting area, you enter a forest.
  • I remember several biomes/zones:
    • Forest
    • Beach/coast
    • Desert
    • Swamp
    • Snow area
  • There was a moon mechanic:
    • You could change the moon type/color in a part of the map.
    • Different moons (green, red, blue, normal) would unlock/open different areas of the game.
  • The game had a mechanic where if you died too many times (I think around 7 deaths), you had to restart or were heavily punished.
  • I think it was 3D.

Games it is NOT:

  • Dark Souls
  • Elden Ring
  • Mortal Shell
  • Nother

[TOMT][GAME][2015-2018] 2D platformer about an office worker with a white marshmallow-like head, death reports, bull boss, desert and jungle worlds

I'm looking for a 2D platformer I watched on YouTube sometime between 2015 and 2018. I'm not 100% sure it was released during those years, but that's when I saw it.

What I remember:

  • It was a side-scrolling 2D platformer.
  • The graphics were hand-drawn/cartoon-like, not pixel art.
  • The game was very difficult, similar to I Wanna Be The Guy in the sense that it had lots of spikes, hidden traps, and unexpected deaths.
  • The main character was a short humanoid office worker wearing a suit. His head was white and square-ish with rounded corners, almost like a marshmallow or sugar cube. I think he had simple black eyes.
  • The game started in an office/corporate environment and I remember the story being about the employee rebelling against or escaping from the company.
  • When you died, a corporate-style report/file would appear over the gameplay (the level was still visible in the background). I remember it looking like an employee document clipped together, showing details such as the cause of death and possibly the time of death.
  • The camera showed a fairly large portion of the level rather than being zoomed in closely on the character.

Bosses and worlds I remember:

  1. Office world – The first boss was the protagonist's boss: a humanoid bull with red eyes, wearing a business suit and carrying a briefcase.
  2. Desert world – The boss was two snakes/serpents.
  3. Jungle world – The boss was some kind of eagle-man/bird-man character.

Other details:

  • There were animal enemies in the levels, including crocodiles (or something very similar).
  • I don't remember the character having weapons; I think the gameplay was mainly platforming and jumping.
  • I'm fairly sure it was available on Steam.
  • For years I mistakenly remembered the protagonist as being a cup/mug, but after thinking about it more I'm almost certain he was actually a white marshmallow/sugar-cube-like character in a suit.
