Sleep Mode Crash?
My 3ds xl is modded with cfw and keeps having this problem whenever i try to fold it to put it in sleep mode. At first it doesn’t go into sleep mode at all and when i fold it open screen gets faded and the console crashes with the screen still on. The console is not responsive in this state. No lights are on and it doesn’t charge either. The screen stays like this and doesn’t turn off until five minutes or so later with a crash dump warning.
When it does turn on again the luma menu screen opens. The date and time are both reset each time.
It’s second-hand, so I’m not sure if it had any unmentioned issues. The only one I’m aware of is that the battery is a little swelled up to the point that the back plate is a little loose.
